Graphics today announced it has added support for the
recently-introduced Epson Stylus ® Pro 7880, 9880
and 11880 wide format printers. These new printers use Epson UltraChrome
K3 inks and can achieve extremely high quality with resolutions up to
2880 x 1440 dpi.
ONYX Graphics workflow solutions software products include key features
such as PANTONE ® Spot Color Matching, Contour
Cutting Workflow and Automatic Job Nesting, which enhance the
performance capabilities of these printers. The Epson Stylus Pro models
supported include the 7880 (24-inch), 9880 (44-inch) and 11880 (64-inch)
printers. ONYX Graphics has teamed with Epson to create an easy,
scalable and flexible workflow solution.
The ONYX drivers include support for the following key features of these
Epson Stylus Pro printers:
Printer Resolution: 2880 x 1440; 1440 x
720; 720 x 720; 720 x 260 and 360 x 360 dpi
Ink Configuration: Photo Black/Matte Black
(switchable), Light Black, Light Light Black, Cyan, Light Cyan, Vivid
Magenta, Vivid Light Magenta, and Yellow
Print Methods: On-board contone, Epson®
halftone, ONYX halftone and custom screening
Print Modes: Fast contone and versatile

profiles for more than 20 Epson media
The Epson Stylus Pro 7880, 9880 and 11880 wide format printers are
supported in the standard version 7.1 of ONYX ProductionHouseTM,
ONYX PosterShop®, and ONYX RIPCenterTM software
products. OEM editions may vary. The drivers and profiles can be
downloaded from the Profile Download Client included in Verison 7.1, as
well as the ONYX web site at: www.onyxgfx.net.
The new ONYX
software, drivers and profiles are available now
