Gielle CIAK Power – similarly to CIAK Professional cutting machine – is best for cutting cardboard, foamboard, plastic board, tilt, etc. Cutting thickness of CIAK Power is max. 20 mm (that of a CIAK Professional is „only” 12,5 mm) Due to its special ratchet technique, the cutting head of Ciak Power can be pushed with no effort, it has to be pushed only ahead, but not pressed down. The four-stage ratchet blade – due to the minimal blade extension – does not bend. The blade is protected against breakages by a position switch. The light CIAK ruler can be taken anywhere, or with optional supplementary (clamps) you can fix it to a table. Cutting rulers can be used without any fixation or can be fixed to a workbench. You can raise the cutting possibilities by using different accessories.
Which one to choose
CIAK has two types (Professional and Power) and both types are available in 7 sizes from 80 to 305 cm length. There are two main differences that help to decide between Power and Professional:
- The cutting thickness of CIAK Power is max. 20 mm (that of a CIAK Professional is "only" 12.5 mm)
- Due to its special ratchet technique, the cutting head of Ciak Power can be pushed with no effort, it has to be pushed only ahead, but not pressed down. To work with Ciak Professional, that does not have this ratchet technique, you need more strength.

How it works?
- Adjust the level switch
The CIAK Power machine has two adjustment buttons. The gear leveler adjusts the position of the blade between 5 and 20 mm. For example, if you want to cut a 10 mm thick forex board, set it to position 10. The blade extends 12mm from the blade holder - the blade will not bend.
- Cut it
Now you can use the ratchet depth regulator adjustable from 0-24. If you are cutting in one pass, press down to position 20 and push the cutting head through the material until it is completely cut.
If you would cut in several passes, it is recommended to make a 2 mm deep cut first. In the following passes, you must cut by setting the depth regulator deeper and deeper (e.g. 4, then 6, etc.)
With CIAK Power, you don't have to push the cutting head down. Energy is only needed to push the knife forward.
- After the cut
If the cutting machine has an optional ruler stopper, the blade will automatically return to its home position at the end of the cut. Otherwise, after cutting, press the blade unlocker with your finger to return the blade holder to the zero position.
